Posterior Reconstruction in Robot Assisted Intracorporeal Orthotopic Neobladder

Robotic radical cystectomy represents a demanding procedure. The intracorporeal reconfiguration of an orthotopic neobladder represents the most challenging part, especially in the approximation of the reservoir to the urethral stump. Beyond some known tricks, i.e., reducing the Trendelemburg degree, the realization of a posterior reconstruction may provide support for the further ileo-urethral anastomosis. The chapter provides the latest evidences on the topic, highlighting the surgical technique and preliminary outcomes.
