Thermal Safety Analysis of Lithium-Ion Traction Batteries Based on Electrode Thermal Stability
摘要
The current state of development in electric transportation technology has led to advancements in the energy density of lithium-ion batteries for traction. One of the areas of development in high-energy lithium batteries is the use of a high-nickel LiNixCoyMnzO2 cathode and silicon-carbon anode chemistry. However, it is a significant challenge to effectively analyze the dynamic changes in internal thermal stability of batteries under different conditions. This study explores the thermal safety of batteries with different capacities for the traction battery cells using this chemistry. Additionally, the effects of the cathode and anode on the thermal safety of the battery are comprehensively investigated by preparing single-electrode dummy pouch cells.
