摘要

Within the management of the technical area of a hospital, it is necessary to monitor compliance with current biomedical regulations on documentation, in order to identify adverse events and incidents that may occur due to errors in the document management of medical equipment. The objective of this article is to propose a methodology to evaluate the biomedical document management process in order to maintain order in the administrative area. As a methodology, a series of steps and characteristics that a hospital must comply with in order to be evaluated by the proposed methodology were established. From this, as relevant results, tables were constructed to facilitate the identification of variables necessary for a correct analysis of biomedical document management. Following this, a comparison is made with some similar international methodologies in order to identify the differences that may arise in biomedical document management in some countries. Finally, it is necessary to clarify that the methodology seeks to quantify the level of failures presented, which indicates whether biomedical document management is adequate and complies with Colombian regulations.
