TrAIL Corpus and General Methodology
摘要
This chapter describes the data and methodology employed for the examination of the cross-linguistic differences in the language of official tourism websites and how these are negotiated in translated texts. An overview of available data is provided together with a discussion of the data selection process and how these have been organised into a corpus. This is followed by a discussion of the methodology employed for its analysis. This chapter also introduces the rationale behind the two case studies, each one focusing on a different aspect of tourism texts, as well as the approach adopted for the examination of adaptation patterns in translated texts.
