Clinical Management of Class II Division 2 Cases
摘要
Class II division 2 cases are similar in management to other class II cases; however, they tend to present with retroclined central incisors and proclined upper lateral incisors or retroclined central and lateral incisors. The management will need to focus on uprighting the upper labial segment whilst providing the right amount of torque. The ideal management would also involve deep bite management as invariably these cases present with an increased curve of Spee and an increased interincisal angle. Correcting the latter by aligning both the upper and lower labial segment, decreasing the interincisal angle to an average of 133° is key to long-term stability. This chapter will focus on these aspects of treatment which can be challenging to practitioners using clear aligners. This chapter will also explain the various features that need to be considered when planning cases and submitting the prescription.
