Overcoming Aligners’ Limitations
摘要
This chapter suggests the potential limitations associated with aligner treatment and ways of overcoming them. The clinician should be aware of clinical signs and presenting features that indicate poor user compliance and ways of discouraging the trend to improve clinical outcomes. It is vital that these signs are recognised as soon as possible in the treatment pathway to prevent loss of tracking and the need of unnecessary refinements prolonging the treatment further than originally planned. Each refinement stage imposes a lag during the treatment which might also lead to a decrease in patients’ compliance. This chapter provides treatment strategies and techniques to lessen complications during treatment.
