摘要

The relationship between Big Data Technologies (BDs) and Economics Research has experienced significant growth, offering possibilities for systematic and bibliometric evaluations. Surprisingly, no bibliometric study has yet been conducted on the association between Big Data Technologies and Economics Research (BDER). To bridge this gap, our research utilizes a bibliometric analysis to conduct a statistical evaluation of published studies and assess the impact of these publications within the scientific community. We performed an extensive bibliometric analysis, both qualitative and quantitative, utilizing Scopus indexed articles from Economics fields spanning for the last decade, along with the R-language data analysis package, bibliometrix. Our analysis yielded various findings, including insights on the most influential authors, journals. We also explored the theoretical foundations, themes, and current research trends within the field of BDs and its impact on economic issues. Additionally, we investigated the evolution of research streams and trends in BDER areas and highlighted several potential avenues for future research.
