Preoperative Diagnostics

First the possible prenatal diagnostics are explained. Then necessary preoperative diagnostic steps are laid down. This applies to the general diagnostics of the disease including radiology and the special organ-related diagnostics as respiration, vision and hearing. Then the main problems of increased intracranial pressure, possible hydrocephalus and Chiari malformation are dealt with.
