The Method of Contextual Selection of the Functions of Cultural Heritage Objects Based on the Urban Environment Network Model

The article deals with the problem of managing cultural heritage. Many such objects from among the capital construction facilities have now lost their main function and are gradually being destroyed. Options for the revival of cultural heritage objects require the search for a new function for the object, which will make its operation economically profitable, and make investment attractive the object itself. However, the traditional methods used to determine a new function for objects are not always able to form suitable recommendations, since they do not systematically consider the context of the environment. This leads to the fact that many potentially investment attractive objects fall out of consideration. The paper proposes an approach to profiling the investment-attractive functional content of cultural heritage based on network modeling of the urban environment, its objects and their interaction.
