Designing Sensory Environments and Sensory Interactions in Virtual Reality
摘要
Sensory processing is the organization of sensory information within the body regarding the environment. Sensory input is gathered through all the senses and integrated to inform our actions. Challenges with multi-sensory integration are discussed as a primary feature underlying the consequent challenges with social perception and learning in autism. This Chapter focuses on underlying patterns of sensory needs and the corresponding design implications for assistive and accessible computing environments.
