Technologies Across the Disciplines for Autistic Users

This Chapter discusses the variety of disciplines that interact to support development and quality of life for autistic people. As each discipline is described it's also related to a ring on the learning cone to show how each discipline relates to another and what type of skills are targeted. Technologies that have been developed to support each discipline are discussed as a bottom-up approach to design. Along with the idea of starting at the bottom of the learning cone at the sensory level and processing a unique set of user experience goals at each level of the learning cone. The implication is that sensory accommodation framework for technology should consider the interaction between each layer.
