The most mysterious things in cosmologyCosmology today are dark matterDark matter and dark energyDark energy. No one knows what they are. The quantum wave modelQuantum wave model can provide some helpful hints. According to our model, all particlesParticle in nature are excitation wavesWave of the vacuumVacuum. Some of these excitation wavesWave can appear as dark matterDark matter because they have certain specific properties. Today, the Standard Model of cosmologyStandard model of cosmology is known as the Lambda-Cold Dark MatterDark matter (ΛCDM) model, which is based on general relativityGeneral relativity (GR). There are still many unanswered questions. For example, very little is known about the nature of dark energyDark energy or the mechanism of inflationInflation. Furthermore, the Lambda-CDM modelLambda-CDM model and general relativityGeneral relativity have very contradicting views on the vacuumVacuum. The standard model of cosmologyStandard model of cosmology today is not yet the final theory. Many important questions remain to be investigated. For example, should time be continuous? Does our universeUniverse have a beginning or an end? Does our universeUniverse have a boundary? So, there will be plenty of opportunities for future generations of cosmologists. In the future, we may be able to resolve some of the outstanding questions using observations from Moon-based astronomyMoon-based astronomy.
