Effect of the Integration of Information and Communication Technology on the Motivation and Learning of Electricity Lessons for High School Students in Morocco

Our objective in this research is to study the effects of the implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in improving learning and teaching of Physics and Chemistry in high schools in Morocco. To scrutinize the research hypothesis, two study groups have been selected. They both have the necessary requirements to fulfill this research (same school level/similar school results). To ensure that, a diagnostic test have been administered to both groups, and the results have been evaluated before starting the procedure of implementing ICT in teaching. Then, we chose one of the two groups to be the control group, to be taught the traditional way, and the other group was the test group, which was taught using ICT. To evaluate this experiment, an Achievement Test was administered to both groups. After an analysis of the data collected from this test, we came to the conclusion that using ICT in teaching gives far more encouraging and satisfying results than the traditional way. These modern techniques help enhance the experimental characteristic of the teaching of Physics and Chemistry in high schools.
