Procedures in Women’s Primary Care Clinic
摘要
Outpatient procedures offered in primary care settings provide timely access and comprehensive care to female patients. Primary care in-office procedures reduce healthcare costs and optimize women’s health by offering longitudinal care and an interdisciplinary approach. Outpatient procedures can be diagnostic or therapeutic in nature, examples of these procedures are endometrial biopsy, colposcopy, skin biopsy, long-acting reversible contraceptive devices insertion, and ultrasound-guided joint injections. Introducing procedural training and proper billing and coding for outpatient procedures is essential to growing primary care-based access and provider retention.
