摘要

A new project is proposed about the development and manufacturing of innovative, slim lenses for eyeglasses and VR-glasses, with nature replicated properties, by utilizing a two-stage injection molding process. The primary objective is to achieve material, energy and timesaving as well as giving the wearer of lenses a better experience in comfort. The first step in this modified molding process involves the molding of optical polymer lenses with Fresnel microstructures. This will lead to a significantly reduction of used material and therefore weight loss compared to traditional lenses, which later can improve the wearers comfort. Subsequently, in the second process step, the lenses will get a lacquer coating within the mold. This coating is supposed to have a, by moth eyes inspired, nanostructure which results in lenses with an inherent anti-reflective effect, along with a lotus blossom effect.
