Transfemale Breast Augmentation
摘要
Gender affirming breast augmentation is an important procedure for relief of gender dysphoria in transfeminine and gender diverse individuals. When compared to cisgender counterparts, these patients face unique challenges when undergoing breast augmentation due to anatomical variation and psychosocial issues related to gender identity. Therefore, it is essential that surgeons be knowledgeable about these differences in order to achieve optimal results while providing safe care for their patients. This chapter will discuss an anatomic comparison between cisgender female chests and transgender female chests, preoperative planning and surgical techniques, postoperative care, complications, and outcomes associated with this procedure.
