Selection of the Male Patient
摘要
Males have faced increased societal and workplace pressures to remain youthful and competitive in the workplace. As a result, their interest in plastic surgery has progressively grown. Social media has added to this, serving to destigmatize and normalize the male patient as a central component of the modern plastic surgery practice. Male patients differ from females, not just anatomically, but with respect to self-perception, desires, and expectations for surgery. Plastic surgeons should therefore equip themselves with the knowledge and techniques to meet this growing demand. Patient selection is an essential first step in achieving safe and reproducible results with high patient satisfaction in male aesthetic surgery.
