High- and Dynamic-Definition Liposculpture (HDL & HD2): Basic Principles and Future Endeavors
摘要
Interplay between artistic concepts, innovative technologic devices, surgeon expertise, and a vast anatomical knowledge has all allowed High Def (HD) and Dynamic Def Liposculptures (HD2) to arise arguably as the standards of care for current liposuction surgeries. A lingering and hard path led us to realize that it is not only about new procedures/techniques, but also about patient heterogeneity and feasible complications derived from procedures that require detailed maneuvers and a long learning curve to achieve truly outstanding results. From basic concepts of adipose tissue anatomy to complex surgeries of bone-structure modification, our targets in body contouring surgery are far from concluded. In this chapter, we will try to summarize the current concepts behind the success of HD and HD2 while providing you with some Tips and Warnings in order to decrease complications. A final section we will dedicate to our latest research projects and the upcoming developments in the field of body contouring surgery.
