摘要

Botulinum toxin (BTX) injection is a minimally invasive procedure that is easily performed in the office setting with high patient satisfaction. It is derived from Clostridium botulinum, and it inhibits the activity of skeletal muscles. The prevalence of male patients undergoing neurotoxin injections has been slowly increasing for the past decades. However, the clinical data concerning BTX injection in the male population are sparse. Our chapter hereby presents the available clinical data, anatomical variations between men and women, and, finally, discusses some injection techniques specific to the male population. Goal is to help clinicians to be aware and understand differences in male patents as well as treatment tips and spark more investigations in the future.
