As Fanon has shown, it is important for clinicians to look beyond the walls of the consulting room, pursuing political action in the community as well as therapeutic action, and looking beyond the symptoms of a failed system to the underlying disease. The volume concludes by reviewing public policies for which practitioners can advocate in the interest of social change, and that will contribute to our patients, our communities, and our own well-being (Shim & Compton, 2018).
