Studies on Innovation in local wisdom have been widely applied in tourism. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of innovation in local wisdom in tourism. Bibliometric analysis was used to analyze 116 articles published from 2013 to 2023. The tools used in this bibliometric analysis are Harzing’s Publish or Perish for extracting data from Scopus databases and Vos Viewer for data visualization and further used for citation and metrics analysis. The results indicate that most articles related to innovation in local wisdom are published in scientific journals, compared to other publication outlets. Related articles published in scientific journals have received the highest citations compared to others. Based on network visualization, the most dominant terms (often appearing) are rural areas, sustainable development, and villager development. When viewed from the overlay and density visualization, the topic of innovation in local wisdom shows the latest trends in research related to rural areas, sustainable development, village development and urban growth.
