Virtual Machine Selection in Mobile Edge Computing: Computing Resources Efficiency
摘要
IoT devices receive an enormous amount of data every second, necessitating storage space for secure data retention and scalable computational resources. Mobile Edge Computing has emerged as an efficient approach to meet real-time computation needs without excessive energy consumption. MEC utilizes computation offloading to transfer a portion of work to the Edge server, enabling the selection of virtual machines that optimize energy and time in distributed and heterogeneous environments. This study focuses on virtual machine selection within Mobile Edge Computing, aiming to enhance the efficiency of computational resources. Through the evaluation of virtual machine performance using computation offloading, we aim to identify strategies and algorithms that optimize energy and time for task execution. The findings provide valuable insights for improving the efficiency of computational resources in MEC-based IoT systems.
