Solar Irradiation Prediction and Artificial Intelligence for Energy Efficiency in Sustainable Buildings, Case of Errachidia, Morocco

Photovoltaic electricity is a type of electricity based on a remarkable technology that converts sunlight into electricity. The knowledge of the parameters influencing this process will allow us to anticipate the measures to be taken to optimize the energy to be consumed. Artificial intelligence (AI) approaches are used to predict solar irradiation and the results are positive. The purpose of this study is to present an algorithm using artificial neural networks (ANNs) for solar irradiation prediction. The accessibility and direct use of many data sources simplify this process. The importance of this work lies in the fact that it provides us with an effective method for predicting solar irradiation. This is the purpose of this paper which makes a chronological synthesis of the use of ANNs applied to the estimation of solar irradiation for a building supposed to be built in Errachidia. Finally, the results highlight our method. We hope that the work presented here can facilitate the improvement of energy optimization to ensure sustainable development in the Moroccan region of Errachidia.
