摘要

In recent years, “Collective Intelligence” and “Innovation” has gained popularity in the academic world. Recognizing this growing interest, our study aims to contribute to the field of business and management research by conducting a comprehensive literature review on the role of collective intelligence in fostering innovation. Through our analysis, we identified that collective intelligence is a multidimensional concept, often manifested under crowdsourcing. Our findings show that collective intelligence plays a key role in driving various forms of innovation (e.g. disruptive innovation, social innovation) in both private and public sectors. In addition, our review underlined the mediating role of technologies in innovation processes. However, it appears that the reviewed papers did not explore this connection in sufficient depth. Hence, we concluded by acknowledging the limitations of our study and proposing several avenues for future research to further investigate this intriguing relationship.
