Your Forever Skills: An Epilogue

We will begin as we started. If you are woman or non-binary person in clinically relevant science, we wrote this book for you. If you are reading this book and belong to another gender category, we are thrilled that you joined us. We wrote this book with a specific framework in mind, the socioecological framework. We did this to place emphasis on you, as a scientist, in your own context. Just as your independent research fits in a larger framework of science, you as a scientist are part of a larger community of scientists. We hope that you have learned new ways to navigate, utilize, explore, and leverage your own socioecological model. We hope you have gained confidence and skills in seeking mentors, finding your professional home, and planning for your promotion (Fig. 10.1).
