Construction from Start to Project Closeout

A discussion of the Integrated Project Delivery process of, “Begin to Close Out the Project at the Start,” once an Authorization-to-Proceed is signed by the Building Owner. The topic covers the preconstruction phase, the construction phase, project closeout, and the warranty phase of a building infrastructure job. Time managed issues such as shop drawing submittals, equipment and system start-up, commissioning, Facility staff training, and O&M manuals are highlighted in this chapter.
