Domestic Servitude
摘要
This chapter is about domestic servitude, which is a subcategory of labour trafficking. It explores what domestic servitude entails, who is vulnerable to being exploited and the prevalence of domestic servitude in the UK. The chapter then goes on to explore the role of healthcare professionals in recognising and supporting survivors of domestic servitude. This chapter addresses why domestic servitude is so hard to recognise and how victims become trapped by their perpetrators. It also outlines what support victims require in order to recover and rebuild their lives.
