Water Contamination in Fish Farms: Electrochemical Contribution
摘要
The fishFish farming sector heavily depends on water quality as one of its primary production inputs. With economic growth, aquacultureAquaculture products become a significant supply of protein for human consumption and the fastest-expanding food production sector. This industry uses a lot of water, which results in a lot of effluent being produced. The high concentration of organic elements and organisms in the effluents contributes to environmental contamination. This contribution focuses on issues related to clean water affected by the skyrocketing expansion and growth of the fishFish farm industry. Discussion and awareness regarding the large usage of chemicals for the treatment of fish illnesses and its effects on the quality of clean water are presented. It is shown that many environmental pollutants can accumulate in farmed species affecting their health and quality. An adequate evaluation and control of aquatic environmental repercussions are both becoming more and more crucial. Thus, the sensorSensor systems presented here allow a rapid and inexpensive control of water pollution in fishFish farms.
