Antenna as Sensor in Drainage and Sewer Systems
摘要
In this chapter, the resonance frequency of an underground antenna has been investigated for soil moisture measurements in the field of digital agriculture. The resonance frequency of the underground antenna is impacted by the change of water content in the soil medium. First, the impact of the soil moisture is analyzed in this work. Accordingly, a model has been developed to predict the soil moisture with change in the resonant frequency in different soil types. Results show that the model holds a promise for sensorless soil moisture measurements using underground antennas in the soil medium for different soil textures at different burial depths.
