Stormwater Management Modeling (SWMM)
摘要
Richmond, Virginia, has devised many methods for combined sewer overflows (CSOs) to reduce wastewater going into rivers and streams. These initiatives are also part of their agreement with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). To that end, EPA traditionally accepts only 3 methods: separation, Gray infrastructure, and green infrastructure; however, a fourth wireless solution is also gaining popularity. The reason for its popularity is the availability of less expensive sensor nodes. The purpose of this chapter is to investigate way forward for Richmond, VA, using current methodologies, combined with wireless technology. The chapter also presents data available from EPA’s Stormwater Management Modeling (SWMM) software.
