Smart Sewer Soil Modeling for IoT Communications

Soil properties play an important role in characterization of a construction material. Specifically, using microwave techniques, soil type, soil moisture values, and frequency of the microwave signals play key roles to the process of characterizing such material. A pavement layer consists of many layers of varying thickness. Therefore, it is important to understand the penetration ability of microwave signals through those layers. In this chapter, a smart sewer soil modeling solution for IoT communications has been presented.
