Identification of the Segments with Changed Density in Inhomogeneous Beams
摘要
This paper presents an original algorithm for identifying the segments with changed density in inhomogeneous beams. The algorithm is based on the calculation of relative frequency shifts for a free-free beam using the squared normalized modal curvature and the strain energy method while considering damage coefficients in the affected segments with increased density. The relative frequency shifts are then used to train an artificial neural network that can detect and estimate the density of the affected segments, So, inhomogeneities in beams, for example as the result of roasting, are determined. The proposed method was tested and validated using a numerical simulation. We succeeded to find all segments with altered density, which demonstrates the effectiveness and accuracy of the method. The proposed approach can potentially be used in real-world applications to identify inhomogeneities in beams of various materials.
