摘要

This paper aims to analyze individuals’ responses to different types of acoustic and visual stimuli. According to state-of-the-art research, it is well known that the human body shows a pattern of reactions as it is exposed to certain external stimuli, but with the advances in technology and research, new directions occur. In the first part of the paper, a critical study is presented regarding the behavior of human subjects to acoustic and visual stimuli. The second part of the paper presents the equipment and method/protocol that was used to investigate. An EEG device (Neuron-Spectrum-65) was used to analyze neurological responses generated by the acoustic and visual stimuli, according to a preset protocol. The results indicate, from the topography of the average amplitudes, for the first subject an average amplitude in the frontal area, for the second subject in the temporal-parietal area, and for the third subject in the occipital area, these are due to the exposure to different types of video media (thriller, comedy, action). The final part of the paper presents the observations and conclusions of this approach to analyzing the behavioral response of human subjects who have been exposed to these stimuli.
