摘要

Improving the musical technique while playing the violin is an objective of violinists, for which they allocate a significant amount of study time. In addition to the artistic aspect, it is important for violinists to be aware of the interpretation technique so that they have better performances. The paper presents a case study regarding the kinematics of the motions of an experienced violinist during musical rehearsals. A musical passage with a duration of 40 s, part of the Prelude from Partita III for solo violin (Bach), was performed by the violinist and the activity was recorded. Colored markers were applied to the joints of the hand, elbow, and right shoulder of the active arm of the violinist. Their position in time was captured with the help of a video recording system, and the signals were processed with specialized programs. The applicability of the study consists both in the analysis of the interpretation technique from a kinematic point of view, but also in the capitalization of this information in the teaching–learning activities within the music faculties.
