摘要

Physical inactivity is considered to be one of the main problems leading to several conditions, such as cardiovascular diseases or diabetes. To combat physical inactivity there have been developed nowadays tools that offer attractive environments and encourage users to practice sport. Virtual Reality is one of the modern tools introducing users in a virtual environment but allowing them to perform physical exercises and playing different sports also at home. The paper presents a case report of a person performing physical exercises (e.g. squats, deadlifts) incorporated in a newly developed VR exergame. The level of physical activity is assessed using heart rate and surface electromyography as relevant physiological parameters. The Positive and Negative Affect Scale questionnaire is used to evaluate the subject’s feelings and emotions before and after using the VR exergame.
