Hands-Free Technology: Acceptance Model for Audiobooks

Educational content can now be produced and duplicated in text, video, and audio formats thanks to digital technologies. Today’s youth actively consume audio content. Audiobooks are frequently requested as a format for instructional content. This chapter’s goal is to identify and discuss reading habits and technology-enhanced hands-free and ecofriendly audiobooks. The research examines society’s technology acceptance. People are always trying and adopting new technologies. There were 225 respondents who participated in the survey and who gave valuable responses. They were asked to give their opinion before and after using the audiobook for the study purpose. Further, they communicated their acceptance of the new hand-free technology on the basis of its perceived ease of use, its usefulness, and their attitudes toward this use of technology. The findings of the research revealed that respondents significantly reported perceived usefulness and ease of use. Further, they expect more audiobooks for academic purposes and in their reginal languages.
