The body has 400–600 lymph nodes throughout the lymphatic system. Superficial and deep lymphatics merge to form lymphatic trunks, creating the right lymphatic and thoracic ducts. The body’s lymphatic drainage is asymmetrical. This chapter summarises normal nodal anatomy and delineation of nodal regions applicable to lymphomas and solid tumours.
