Radiotherapy is used in the curative and palliative treatment of prostate and urinary bladder cancers. Radiotherapy fractionation for prostate cancer is continuously evolving; however, the radiological anatomy for treatment planning remains the same. This chapter deals with the role of radiotherapy, the radiological anatomy of the tumour, and patterns of spread and summarises the principles of target volume delineation for prostate and urinary bladder cancers.
