Open partial horizontal laryngectomy (OPHL) is the most suitable solution in the conservative approach to advanced laryngeal cancer. In this chapter, we will discuss about the fundamental anatomical structures of the operated larynx and how these structures act to ensure the three basic functions of the larynx: breathing, swallowing, and voice production.
