Molecular Motion, Correlation, and Relaxation Time

As we discussed before, the relaxation process is a key element of NMR and MRI techniques. For a two-level system, the spin transitions occur between two states, and relaxation brings the system to its ground state. To consider the physical mechanism behind the relaxation properties, molecular motion and correlation time are used to explain the relaxation phenomena of a molecule.
