摘要

Palm vein authentication systems have become an increasingly popular biometric technology in recent years due to their high accuracy and convenience. This technology uses near-infrared light to capture the unique vein patterns of an individual’s palm, which are then analyzed and compared to stored data for authentication. The use of near-infrared light ensures that the authentication process is touch-free, which is particularly important in environments where hygiene is a concern, such as hospitals, airports, and public transportation. The objective is to create a software prototype that can recognize a person based on the vein patterns in their hand. Palm vein recognition is highly secure because it recognizes the network of blood vessels beneath the palm skin. Making it much more difficult for intruders to replicate than other biometric features. The palm vein authentication system is robust, meaning it is highly resistant to fraud attempts such as fake handprints or photos.
