Novel Approaches to Automatic License Plate Reading (ALPR)

The objective of the YOLOv7 number plate identification computer vision problem is to locate and recognize number plates in photographs of moving or stationary automobiles. YOLOv7, a technique founded on deep learning, is utilized to identify interesting characteristics in photographs. This method’s effectiveness and dependability in object detection tasks can be attributed to its emerging star status. In this study, we present a number plate detection system based on YOLOv7 for fast and accurate number plate identification. Our system is trained and evaluated using a large database of images of automobiles. The proposed method could be utilized in numerous scenarios, such as parking, safety, and transportation.
