Device Characterization for Opportunistic Networks
摘要
When implementing opportunistic networks in real applications, not only connectivity problems need to be addressed, but also device restrictions. Each device (smartphones, sensor nodes, tablets) have its unique properties and resources. Some of them are critical for opportunistic communications and can make the difference between a well-functioning network and a complete failure. In this chapter, we will explore the most crucial device properties for opportunistic communications: power availability, cache (memory) restrictions, and processing.
