摘要

Among the major battlefields of the Sino-Japanese War, the Burma-Yunnan front, which spread over North Burma and the Yunnan province, was unique in that the occupation by the Japanese army was taken over by the Allied Forces including the Kuomintang (KMT) before the war formally ended. In other words, it was different both from the Pacific front where practically only the US Forces under the name of Allied Forces took victory over battles in the islands and from the Chinese Continental front where the Japanese army capitulated after the Chinese government accepted the unconditional surrender of Japanese military forces. The uniqueness of the Burma-Yunnan front in the entire Sino-Japanese War is highlighted in the process of its seizure by the Allied Forces, including the Chinese Army, far before the war itself ended.
