Are the New Enemies of Liberal Democracy in the Sense of Karl Popper Still the Same but Only Free of Ideology

Popper’s book “The open society and its enemies” (1945) is still recognized as one of the most popular defences of Western liberal values in the post-World War II era. The Open Society and Its Enemies was mainly praised by the philosopher Russell (Bertrand 1872–1970), who categorized Popper’s book as a work of first-class importance and a vigorous and profound defence of democracy. There is consensus in the world of Philosophy, which stated the book as subtly argued and passionately written critique of the historicist ideas that threaten and ongoing attempts to undermine the love of freedom and the importance of the existence of an open society. History is intended as a critique of the normative, allegedly anti-historical, epistemologies thoughts and ideas of enlightenment.
