China's Policy Regarding Libya's Inclusion in the Belt and Road Initiative: Sights Set on the Future?

Libya and China have had diplomatic relations since 1978 when Libya recognized China as one of the countries with which it wished to establish connections. Since then, relations between the two countries have been rather friendly and based on mutual economic and strategic interests.
