Degenerative Retinoschisis and Related Retinal Detachments
摘要
In this chapter, the authors offer insights into the complex management of retinal detachment complicating retinoschisis. There are two types of retinal detachments associated with degenerative retinoschisis: schisis detachments and progressive rhegmatogenous retinal detachments. The authors discuss pre-operative assessment, surgical techniques including scleral buckle, pars plana vitrectomy with or without scleral buckle, and management of the schitic cavity for applying laser retinopexy to outer and inner retinal leaves breaks. Intra-operative and post-operative complications are also highlighted.
