摘要

Screening methods are simple technical evaluations, calculations, and simulations that can be performed to obtain an idea of system strength and potential stability issues without the need for detailed dynamic models and studies. These methods aim at identifying possible risks in a wide range of scenarios, with minimal computation burden, sometimes at the cost of accuracy. The data requirements for screening level studies are not onerous and can be generally assumed at early stage of planning new inverter-based resource (IBR) connections or a renewable energy zone comprising network assets and many IBRs.
