Power System Dynamic Studies Under a High Penetration of Power Electronic-Interfaced Devices
摘要
Building on the information presented in Chap. 1 , different classes and subclasses of power system stability and in particular considerations when performing power system studies are discussed in more details in this chapter. Focus is given on power systems with a high share of inverter-based resources (IBRs). However, differences caused by a change in the generation mix, and whether synchronous generators or IBRs are dominant, are highlighted. The emerging interactions between each of the power quality and power system protection and power system stability are discussed with the use of simple practical examples. Lastly, a tabular summary of practical experiences of new and emerging forms of various types of subsynchronous instabilities worldwide involving IBRs is presented.
