Smart Glove: The Sign Language Translator for Mute-Deaf Citizens
摘要
Sign language is a non-verbal language used by mute-deaf people to communicate with the general public. This project aims to replace sign language with electronic devices that translate sign language into voice. A practical implementation of a framework that allows mute and deaf people to use gloves to communicate with regular people via smartphones has been designed and implemented. An Android application was also used, which converts gestures into content and delivers a voice, based on the handshape recognized. Testing has been completed, and the results show that the prototype is operational.
